Job-hunt

Today I might have just gotten an offer from sheer personality. Not experience. Not academic accomplishment. Not even based on an IQ test. And it is scary.

It's one thing when the expectation from you is intellectual-- that is easily delivered; or, as my Eagle classmate once told me, you can bluff brilliance. Integrity is another thing altogether. For one, the workplace does not necessarily define the rules to all possible situations that could compromise one's ethics.Increasingly, there are right channels that one can go to, but questions like : is it my duty to report this when everybody knows about it? what if I lose my job? -- make it difficult to do the right thing.

I know myself -- and I tend to see in black in white. If I see something wrong, I will exhaust everything in my authority to correct it. And I'm not afraid to lose my job -- like I need to say it aloud.
